The
Satellite® transmitter combined with one of our hydraulic weighing
systems sends a 4-20mA signal directly to your computer. It is ideal
for applications that don't require a local indicator or it can be
used in conjunction with any of our Century® Dial Indicators.
The Satellite measures the pressure of the hydraulic load cell system
and converts the pressure to a two wire, 4-20 ma analog signal that
is proportional to the tank contents. Since the transmitter is loop
powered with 12 to 45 volts DC, the power supply can be remote mounted
in the control room away from the corrosive environment of the chemical
feed room. For stationary tank applications, a non-interacting zero
and span allows the user to zero off the tank tare weight so that
the Satellite sends a net chemical weight signal. The Satellite is
also certified as "intrinsically safe" by FM & CSA standards
when powered by a supply voltage that is less than 30 volts DC. |
